A network of public spaces
The Zorrotzaurre of tomorrow has an environment characterised by its network of varied collective and public spaces.
Within the island, the structure of the network is defined by three axes – two on the edges and a central avenue that includes the tramline – crossed generously by local streets and pedestrian walks.
The open spaces are concentrated on the canal side, with major walkways on both banks and a linear park of 40,000m2 will be created in the central area of the island. The gardens of Botica Vieja will be extended and increased in size and connected by the new bridges to the open spaces on the island.
